How Arimidex (Anastrozole) Works
Anastrozole binds the aromatase enzyme reversibly, reducing conversion of testosterone to oestrogen. Stop taking it and the enzyme resumes work, which is why a sharp rebound can follow abrupt cessation.
The goal is control, not elimination, oestrogen is required for joints, libido, mood and lipid health.
Anastrozole vs Exemestane vs Letrozole
Anastrozole is the balanced default. Exemestane binds permanently, so it produces less rebound and is kinder to lipids, often preferred running into recovery. Letrozole is powerful enough to flatten oestrogen entirely and is a tool for a specific acute problem rather than general control.
None of them are PCT. Restarting natural production is a SERM’s job.
