Clomid (Clomiphene) Specifications
Clomid 50mg: pharmaceutical gradeClomid (Clomiphene) Research Areas
- Restarts the axis: Blocks oestrogen receptors at the hypothalamus and pituitary, releasing LH and FSH
- Stronger LH stimulation: The reason it persists in recovery protocols despite being less comfortable
- Mood and visual effects: Blurring, floaters and light sensitivity are reported often enough to be expected
- Timing matters: Starting while a long ester is still releasing wastes the attempt
How Clomid (Clomiphene) Works
Clomiphene blocks oestrogen receptors where the body senses oestrogen and decides to suppress LH and FSH. Blocked, the brain reads oestrogen as low and signals for production to resume.
That is why an aromatase inhibitor cannot do this job, lowering circulating oestrogen is not the same as blocking the receptor that reports it.
Clomid vs Nolvadex
Tamoxifen is generally better tolerated and is the tool for gynecomastia specifically, because it blocks the receptor in breast tissue. Clomid stimulates LH harder, at the cost of mood and visual side effects.
The two are often run together, using clomid’s stimulation alongside tamoxifen’s tolerability.
